About Al Birr Institute

Al Birr Institute is an online Islamic institute dedicated to nurturing the love of Allah (SWT) and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in the hearts of the younger generation.

Our mission is to inspire children, youth, and adults to connect with Islam in a meaningful way, develop a love for the Qur’an, and build a strong Islamic identity through engaging and interactive learning.

The foundations of Al Birr Institute were laid in Karachi over eight years ago by Mr. & Mrs. Mian Khalid and it was co-founded by Mr. & Mrs. Zubair Khalid. Since then, the institute has grown into a global online platform serving students from different countries.

At Al Birr Institute, we aim to provide authentic Islamic education based on the Qur’an and Sunnah using modern teaching methods. Our qualified and dedicated teachers strive to make learning enjoyable, interactive, and spiritually uplifting for every student.

We offer one-to-one and group classes in Urdu and English, catering to children, teenagers, and adults worldwide.

My name is Areeba Zubair and I am co-founder Al Birr Institute. I was homeschooled throughout and completed my O & A levels (GCSE) privately from London, UK. I then did my Bachelors in Islamic Studies from Islamic Online University (Dr Bilal Phillips) with my thesis on Shriah Compliant Preschool Education. Through Allah swts Tawfiq and efforts of my mother, I memorized the Quran at a young age, alhumdulillah, and did my ijazah in hifz and tajweed from the Global Quran Memorisation Centre. Alhumdulillah, I've also done Neuro Linguistic Programming from the American Board of NLP, and I'm a certified Life Coach and Time line Therapist. I've had the opportunity to complete the Parent-Teacher Certificate Course from ERDC (Sr. Salman Asif). I am also a trainer, Motivational Speaker and conduct various workshops on self development and excellence. I've been teaching and working with children for the last 15 years alhumdulillah, and it's my passion to instil love of Allah swt and Rasul Allah (saw) in the hearts of the younger generation. This is the sole purpose of the online platform Al Birr Institute, where I design courses for children and train the teachers with effective teaching strategies and methods. My aim is to provide authentic Islamic education in a friendly and loving way that it inspires our children to come close to Allah swt. We are Ahlus Sunnah, yet we do not follow any particular maslak nor do we delve into fiqh Discussions. We respect all schools of thought and welcome students from different backgrounds. She holds an MA In Islamic Studies, is a hafizah and Academic Co-ordinator, Admin Assistant, Hiring Manager, Curriculum Designer and Event Planner with 10+ years of experience in teaching. She is a hafiza, MA in Islamic Studies from Karachi University, completed Darse Nizami, Comprehensive Teacher Training Course and Diploma in Arabic Language. She is passionate about helping children and ladies memorize Quran.

With 8+ years of teaching experience, she is Passionate about connecting ladies & children to Allah Swt.
